The Season So Far
April 11, 2019

It's been a busy season so far for Queen's University's Ladies Hockey Team. Here we give you a quick run down on what the ladies have been up to and the weeks ahead.

Simon Bell, Head Coach with Queen's Hockey gives us the low down on the season so far;

"The Queen's University 1st XI finished top of its group in EYHL2 and travels to Dublin for the Irish Hockey League play-offs on the weekend of 27-28 April 2019.

The girls play Monkstown from Dublin on the Saturday and if they win that game they will play in the final on the Sunday, with the winner automatically promoted to EYHL1.

They also have three Premier League games remaining and are on course to achieve the target of finishing in the top three to qualify for the national Irish Hockey League again next season. It has been a very successful season to date and we are indebted to Etain for their ongoing support."

As a tech firm with our very own formidable squad of talented women, we are proud to have QUB LHC join forces with the Smarter Software ® team and are delighted to see the ladies outstanding performance this season so far. For us, the opportunity to work with the QUB LHC and see each and every one of them excel in what they love is something close to our hearts.

The ladies have also been hard at work promoting Etain in their new Smarter Software ® Adidas kit. As the official sponsors of Queen's University Ladies Hockey Club, one of Ireland’s leading hockey teams and home to some serious sporting talent, we’re honoured to see the ladies wear our name as they go to battle on the pitch.

We wish the ladies the best of luck for the Irish Hockey League play-offs 27th-28th April and hope to see their promotion to EYHL1 as a result.
